I've lived in several areas of the Triangle(Cary, "Inside the Beltline" Raleigh, Durham, North Raleigh) since I was 10 years old, so I consider myself a Raleigh/Cary native. I went to elementary, middle school high school in Cary, then move to Raleigh during my High School years. I attended NCSU, then started a high-end furniture manufacturing company called Kingston - Hull Mfg. and spent many late nights for 7 years, designing and producing fine mahogany pencil post beds, dining room tables, Chippendale mirrors, book shelves, and other fine furnishings, as we established over 120 retail accounts(not counting designers) throughout NC, SC and VA.
I sold out my partnership and got my General Contractor License and Real Estate License in the mid 1990's. My design background proved helpful in planning and performing numerous remodel projects, so I thought contracting was going to be my profession. Having a dad who is a retired nuclear engineer with Progress Energy(CP&L), who built and renovated his own homes and business and a mom who is retired as professional designer/retailer, always providing projects for us, I found myself in many creative projects over my life, and often with a hammer, saw or a brick in my hand. I've always enjoyed planning my own projects over the decades and have remodeled many homes and have a good sense of quality, whether its design or construction...but I found something I enjoyed more than construction! Real estate! I felt real estate was a natural fit for my skills and during my time as real estate broker I've earned many challenging top-producing awards and recognitions. During my time as a broker, I've met some incredible people, and made many life time friends.
As a real estate professional and a RE/MAX associate, I've managed to earn the rare Platinum Level awards several years in a row, while obtaining RE/MAX "Hall of Fame" status within an extremely short period of time for any RE/MAX agent, and as the industry statisitcs have proven, RE/MAX agents are the most productive in the World!
I have a loving wife Carol and two wonderful children...Tyler and Jessica.
I enjoy traveling, boating, sports, reading non-fiction, history, political discussions and playing the drums. Most importantly, I enjoy watching my son and daughter grow and blossom.
